2003: Mike amassed a 16-8 record, including a 1-2 mark in dual action. Among his 16 wins, three came by fall and one by technical fall. He competed in open tournaments for the Cowboys where he had a trio of top-five finishes.
2002: Wrestled in five matches where he posted a 2-3 record. In his two wins, he recorded a fall and a decision. Christian was selected on the first-team Academic All-Big 12 and on the Dean's Honor Roll. He was also awarded the OSU Academic Achievement Award.
2001: In his first season as a Cowboy, Christian recorded a 7-4 record at 197 pounds. In his first collegiate match, Christian pinned Bryan Wilson of Bacone in 2:12.
High School: Christian amassed a career record of 135-11, including 117 falls, en route to capturing two state championships at Lynnwood High School. During his prep career, Christian collected 20 tournament titles, including the 1999 Reno Tournament of Champions and the 2000 NHSCA National Tournament. His accomplishments on the mat earned him Wrestling USA All-America honors as well as Asics Tiger first-team All-America accolades. He was also named one of five Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award regional winners by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame for his academic, scholastic and community achievement. Christian also e 2004: Compiled a 12-5 record while wrestling mostly in open tournaments ... appeared in two duals ... his first dual appearance was against Oregon, which he won with a 4-0 decision over Jake Leair ... also wrestled against Oklahoma as the heavyweight in the second round of the National Duals, All-American Leonce Crump recorded a major decision in the match ... recorded two falls with his fastest coming in 3:42 over Justin Barber of MacMurray College ... also recorded two major decisions on the year.
