Cowgirl Soccer Slides Past Texas Tech, 4-2

Oklahoma State's soccer team held on for a 4-2 win Friday night at R. P. Fuller Stadium in front of 408 fans. Oklahoma State improves to 10-2-1 overall and 2-2-0 in the Big 12 while Texas Tech falls to 3-10-0 overall and 0-5-0 in league play.

The Cowgirls surrendered a goal less than 30 seconds into the game, allowing Ashley Reed to score on an assist from Jenifer Thomas.

Oklahoma State tied the game at 1-1 when Jolene Schweitzer scored her seventh goal of the season off an assist from Jere Boykin in the seventh minute.

Tech scored the go-ahead goal but Nikki Wojtowicz countered with the equalizing goal on a free kick from just outside the box in the 36^th minute. OSU was awarded the free kick after Schweitzer was fouled.

Oklahoma State had numerous opportunities score in the first period but could not put the game away. OSU took 13 shots compared to four for Tech.

Adriane Radtke scored the game-winner on a header at the 60:19 mark after a cross from Sasa Jackson on the far side.

Schweitzer gave the Cowgirls some breathing room with a goal in the 71^st minute. Wojtowicz assisted on the play, earning the 51^st assist of her career and setting a new Big 12 record.

Breanna Truelove went the duration in goal for the Cowgirls, allowing two goals and making one save.

Oklahoma State returns to action at 1 p.m. on Sunday, visiting the Baylor Bears.
