Josh Fields now owns the school record for passing yards in a career for bowl games. He had 310 yards last year in the Houston Bowl and now has 617 in two bowl games. Rusty Hilger held the previous record of 529 passing yards in three bowl games.
Vernand Morency has scored six touchdowns in the last three games. He had three vs. Kansas, one against Baylor and two today vs. Mississippi.

Jon Holland recorded his third interception of the season in the first half, tying Robert Jones for second on the squad.

The fake field goal in the first half was backup punter/holder Sky Rylant's first career rush (4 yards).
