Junior Halee Prickett's hard week of training paid off as she took first place in the shot put with a distance of 14.64 meters.
“I am very impressed with how Halee performed, considering how hard she trained throughout the week,” said Head Coach Rene Sepulveda.
In her first competition at OSU, freshman Branighan Vann took second in the shot put with a distance of 12.97 meters.
“It is an amazing accomplishment for her to do this well considering how far she has come along since high school,” said Sepulveda.
Senior Michelle Prowse finished first in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:13.04. With a distance of 5.58 meters, junior Paula Ogunbanjo took third place in the long jump.
Ogunbanjo also placed third in the triple jump with a distance of 11.97 meters. Senior Adrienne Crenshaw placed fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.55 meters.
A pair of Cowgirls finished in the top four in the weight throw competition. Senior Delisa McClain took third with a distance of 16.54 meters, while Prickett finished fourth with a distance of 14.26 meters.
Despite missing some key runners, the distance medley team was able to finish third with a time of 12:19.71.
Junior Alison Erzinger took second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 57.11. Erzinger ran the 800 meter leg in the distance medley race the previous night with an impressive time of 2:16.
