2002: Compiled a 3-3 record wrestling in two tournaments for the Cowboys and placed third at the Cliff Keen Open.
2001: In just 12 matches, Stites posted a 10-2 record, which included three falls, four decisions and two major decisions. 2000: Stites posted a 5-1 record while wrestling unattached for the Cowboys at 125 pounds. He finished second at the Fort Hays State Open, his best outing of the season.
High School: He wrestled at Bixby High School with former OSU teammate Shane Roller. He captured the 1996 State Championship and was runner-up in 1997. He posted a 131-15 career record. He also wrestled at the Dapper Dan Classic.
Personal: Cody is the son of Bob and Paula Stites. His father was a two-time All-American wrestling for Oklahoma State in the early 1970s. He has one brother, Ryan, who wrestled for Oklahoma State. He is majoring in economics and enjoys lifting weights.
