Soccer Defeats ORU, Wins Oklahoma Shootout

After a quiet first half offensively, Graves gave the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead at halftime with a goal in the 40th minute of the contest off a pass from Ashlyn Brantley.
Brantley then sealed the contest with a goal of her own at the 61:44 mark on an assist from Nikki Wojtowicz.
The Cowgirls took 26 shots in the contest, 17 on goal, while limiting the Golden Eagles to eight.
Kathrin Lehmann picked up the shutout in net, making three saves in the complete game effort.
The Cowgirls won the tournament based on goal differential. Both OSU and OU went 2-0 but the Cowgirls edged the Sooners with a five-goal differential vs. OU's four.
Four Cowgirls were named to the all-tournament team, defender Marcela Nova, midfielder Nikki Wojtowicz, goalkeeper Kathrin Lehmann and forward Kim Graves.
Oklahoma State (8-0) opens Big 12 play Friday night at 7 p.m. against Texas Tech at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.
