Cowgirl Soccer Shuts Out UALR, 4-0
September 02, 2003 | Cowgirl Soccer
The Cowgirls took a 1-0 lead when Nikki Wojtowicz converted a penalty kick 36 minutes into the contest.
The slim advantage held throughout the first half as the Cowgirls were not able to score again despite outshooting the Trojans nine-to-one in the first period.
The second half was a different story as the duo of Adriane Radtke and Cassie Lewis took over, finding the back of the net twice in the first 10 minutes of play.
Lewis pushed the advantage to 2-0 at the 52:09 mark on an assist from Radtke. The roles were then switched two minutes later when Lewis found Radtke on the right side, giving the freshman her second goal of the weekend.
The final goal came when UALR headed in a corner from Wojtowicz for an own goal.
Kathrin Lehmann and Erin Corbin combined for the shutout in net. Lehmann earned the start and played the first 63 minutes before Corbin came in to close out the contest.
Oklahoma State hits the road once again next weekend, facing Sam Houston State at 7 p.m. on Friday.
