September 16, 2003 | Cowgirl Soccer
Looking Ahead
Oklahoma State takes on a pair of instate rivals this week as part of the annual Oklahoma Shootout, hosting Tulsa and facing Oral Roberts on neutral ground in Norman. The Golden Hurricane come to the Cowgirl Soccer Complex for a 7 p.m. meeting in Stillwater on Friday. It marks the first time the two teams have not met on a neutral playing field. The first two contests were held in Edmond and last year's battle was at ORU. Sunday's action at the shootout will be held at John Crane Field on OU's campus. The Cowgirls and Golden Eagles play the final game of the day at 4:30 p.m. Tulsa leads the series with Oklahoma State 2-1 but the Cowgirls won last year's meeting 3-1. OSU leads the series with ORU 3-2 after a 3-1 win last season.
Scouting Tulsa
Tulsa is 3-2-1 after opening the season with three straight wins. Since that stretch the Golden Hurricane have lost to Drury and Old Dominion and tied William & Mary. Danielle Fatueux leads the squad with 10 points on five goals. Staci Morgan is second with three goals and Kristie Keirsey and Emily Trost chipped in with two and one, respectively, to round out the scoring. Both of Keirsey's goals have been game-winners. Kelly Wilson has played all but 90 minutes in goal, giving up four goals and earning 26 saves.
Scouting Oral Roberts
Oral Roberts enters the weekend at 3-2-0 on the season. Three Golden Eagles, Jessica Kellogg, Gentry Detter and Nicole Bucelluni, have six points apiece to pace the team. Each have notched a game-winning goal but Kellogg is slightly ahead in the goals race with three vs. two for Detter and Bucelluni. ORU swapped opponents with the Cowgirls last weekend, defeating McNeese State, 2-0, and falling to Vermont, 2-1. Sunday's loss to Vermont ended ORU's 13-game home winning streak.
Head Coach Karen Hancock
Karen Hancock is in her eighth year at Oklahoma State, having started the program in 1996. In seven years at OSU, Hancock holds a 62-69-8 record and the program has grown stronger each year. Hancock led the 2002 squad to a 10-0 start, the best ever by a Cowgirl team and set a school record for wins in a season after finishing 13-7-0. Hancock's hard work paid off when the Cowgirls qualified for the Big 12 Tournament for the first time and she earned Co-Big 12 Coach of the Year honors.
Radtke Leads The Pack
Adriane Radtke has been named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week the past two weeks. The Munich, Germany, native leads the Cowgirls with 10 goals and 26 points, the most scored by a freshman since 1996. Radtke has scored in every contest this year, good for a six-game streak and tying the longest scoring streak in program history. Radtke had a hat trick vs. Vermont and added a goal and an assist against McNeese State for nine points on the week. Radtke is currently averaging a Big 12-leading 4.33 points per game and 1.67 goals per outing.

Jolene Schweitzer notched the first hat trick of her career against Sam Houston State. The junior scored the game-winner and followed with two more over the next 22 minutes. The Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, native had tallied two goals in a game twice in her career prior to the contest.
