Cowgirls Cruise Past McNeese State, 8-0

The Cowgirls controlled the tempo from the beginning, setting a new school record for shots in a game with 51. Oklahoma State pounded McNeese goalkeeper Toni Deason with 22 shots in the first half and 29 in the second while holding the visitors to just two shots, both coming in the second half.
Three Cowgirls; Jolene Schweitzer, Kim Graves and Jere Boykin, each notched two goals in the outing.
OSU took a 2-0 lead into intermission but exploded for six goals in the second period, including four in a six minute stretch. Boykin started the scoring frenzy at the 54:32 mark and capped it off with her second goal in the 61st minute of the contest.
Graves picked up a goal in each period to give her four on the season. The second was her 20th career tally, giving her sole possession of the top spot in the record books for career goals.
Schweitzer is chasing the record as well as she has 19 career goals and a share of second place with Robin Rampey following her second multi-goal outing of the season.
The career assist record was also shattered when Nikki Wojtowicz tallied a pair to move her to the top of the list with 27. The junior wasted no time as she earned the assist on the first two goals of the contest.
Adriane Radtke extended her scoring streak to six with a goal in the waning minutes. The freshman has 10 goals so far this season and has scored in every contest.
Kathrin Lehmann and Erin Corbin combined for their fourth shutout of the season in goal. Lehmann started the contest and Corbin played the final 28 minutes in relief.
Oklahoma State returns to action on Friday when it hosts instate rival, Tulsa, at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
