Adriane Radtke Named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week

Oklahoma State midfielder Adriane Radtke was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week, it was announced Tuesday by the conference office. Radtke is the first Cowgirl to earn Newcomer of the Week honors since Jolene Schweitzer in 2001.

The Munich, Germany, native scored two goals in each of the Cowgirls wins over the weekend and now leads the squad with six goals and 17 points. The freshman is second on the team with five assists after dishing out four last week, including three in the Sam Houston State game.

The Cowgirls defeated Sam Houston State, 9-1, on Friday and closed out the weekend with a 5-1 win over Northwestern State.

Oklahoma State (4-0) opens a three-game homestand on Friday at 7 p.m. against Vermont at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.
