Luke Phillips Q&A
August 26, 2003 | Cowboy Football
Luke Phillips: Very excited. I'm sick of two-a-days and I'm ready to prepare for the game.
Cowboy MVP: What were your goals during workouts this summer?
Luke Phillips: I wanted to gain ten pounds and increase my overall maximums. I did that, and I was happy.
Cowboy MVP: What are your team goals and individual goals for this season?
Luke Phillips: As a team, we want to win the National Championship and beat OU for the third straight year. Individually, I want to gain All-American status and win the Lou Groza Award.
Cowboy MVP: What did you take away from last season, and how will that help you this upcoming season?
Luke Phillips: Last year, I took on more of a leadership role. Since I'm a senior now, I have to take on more of a leadership role. I'm not an 18 year old freshman anymore, I'm a 23 year old senior.
Cowboy MVP: Do you have any pregame superstitions?
Luke Phillips: I have plenty, but the only one I can really tell you about is that I clean my shoes the night before a game.
Cowboy MVP: If you were in charge of college football for a day, what would you change?
Luke Phillips: Probably just give us more pay  a little more on the scholarship check.
Cowboy MVP: What's your favorite food?
Luke Philips: Fried okra.
Cowboy MVP: What's your favorite TV show of all time?
Luke Philips: Saved By The Bell. That's one that no one wants to admit, but that everyone knows.
Cowboy MVP: What is your favorite thing about Oklahoma State?
Luke Phillips: The relaxed, laid-back family atmosphere.
