2002: Hayhurst played in seven games and earned a letter.
2001: Earned his first Oklahoma State letter by playing in six games, including five straight, at the end of the season.
2000: Saw his first collegiate action in late-season game against Baylor.
1999: Redshirt season at Oklahoma State.
High School: Three-year starter at Choctaw High School and ranked as the 24th-best prospect in Oklahoma by First Down Recruiting. All-State selection by the Daily Oklahoman. That publication also placed him on its All-Big City squad. Kansas State, Baylor and Purdue also recruited him. Hayhurst excelled in the classroom, being named to the Principal’s Honor Roll. He was also a member of the 1998 6A State Power Lifting Team.
Personal: Born Oct. 1, 1980, Jon is the son of Dean and Rita Hayhurst. He has one brother, Jarrod. His hobbies include hunting and fishing, and he is majoring in sociology at Oklahoma State.
