2002: Carter started one game and played in 11 of OSU's 13 games in 2002. He recorded 26 tackles, including 19 solo and seven assisted. He didnt play in the season opener against Louisiana Tech, but had his first assisted tackle against SMU. He notched two tackles against UCLA, one solo and one assisted. He had one more against SMU and another against Texas. Against Texas A&M, he snagged one solo and one assisted. While at Texas Tech, he totaled five solo tackles, two of which totaled minus-11 yards. His start came at Kansas where he had five solo tackles, one assisted tackle and a blocked punt. In his last two games, he totaled three more tackles, two against Baylor and one versus the Sooners. He finished the season with a four-tackle performance in the Houston Bowl win over Southern Mississippi.
2001: Carter earned his second Oklahoma State letter by playing in eight of the 11 games. His season statistics included 10 tackles, one sack and a pass deflection.
2000: Played in 10 of the 11 games and finished with six total tackles and three blocked kicks.
High School: Carter is an extremely versatile athlete that was also a standout in basketball. He played wide receiver and defensive end at El Reno, but also stepped in during the playoffs at running back. In a semifinal win over McAlester, he rushed for over 200 yards. He was third-team All-State according to the Daily Oklahoman, and was also named second-team All-Big City. All of the postseason honors were on the defensive line, where he registered 15 sacks. Carter was also recruited by Kansas, and played for coach Rocky Carter at El Reno.
Personal: Born Jan. 8, 1981, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Fath is the son of Corne Colbert. He has four brothers, including former OSU linebacker Chris Carter. He also has an uncle, Fred, who played for the New York Yankees, and a cousin, Shannon Carter, who played for the Toronto Blue Jays for three years. His uncle is former big league slugger Joe Carter. His brother, Wahhab, played basketball at the University of Denver. Fath is majoring in sociology at Oklahoma State.
