2002: Nease played in seven games and recorded four tackles, three solo and one assisted. He snagged his first tackle against Northern Iowa, and another assisted tackle against UCLA. He recorded two more solo tackles against Texas Tech. Along with those tackles, Nease recorded an interception against Texas A&M that he returned 17 yards. A nagging injury kept him out of the final four games of the 2002 season.
2001: Played in just one game.
2000: His redshirt season at Oklahoma State.
High School: Nease was named All-State by the Oklahoma Coaches Association and was second-team All-State according to the Daily Oklahoman. He was a high school standout in football, basketball, baseball and track. In football, he had 1,177 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns. He also had five interceptions on defense, and punted for a 38.5 yards-per-punt average. He was also a kickoff and punt returner. He was a state champion in track, specializing in the sprint events. He played on a National Champion AAU baseball team. Nease was also recruited by Purdue, Colorado State and Tulsa. He played a lot of positions in high school, including running back, wide receiver, quarterback, cornerback and free safety.
Personal: Born Sept. 25, 1981, Chay is the son of Randy and Andra Nease. He has two young brothers, Chaipen and Chesden, and a sister, Chanda. Chay is majoring in education at Oklahoma State, and he enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.
