The Cowboys took the lead back for good in the fifth when Robert Smith was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded as OSU took a 5-4 lead.
Brown's triple extended the Pokes lead to three and he eventually scored to give OSU a 8-4 lead.
After Grambling scored a run in the bottom of the sixth, Luke Scott gave the Pokes a 10-5 advantage in the seventh with a two-run homer to rightfield, his first round-tripper as a Cowboy.
Grambling rallied for three runs in the seventh to cut the OSU lead to 10-8.
The Cowboys and Tigers traded runs in the ninth and Quenten Patterson pitched the final two innings to pick up the first save of his OSU career.
