Baseball Sweeps Prairie View A&M In Doubleheader

The Cowboys extended their win streak to seven games and are 27-14 overall while Prairie View dropped to 8-38.
OSU scored six runs in the first inning of game one and never looked back as the game was called in the seventh due to the 12-run rule.
Five different Cowboys hit homers as OSU pounded out 18 hits against two Panther pitchers. Rob Watson, Nebasett Brown and Roy York each had three hits to pace the team offensively while Ryan Herrmann pitched three solid innings to pick up his first win of the season.
York came back to hit a grand slam homer in game two as the Pokes won 15-2. Chad Hemphill went 3-for-4 with a single, double and solo homer to pace OSU at the plate. Kris Oakes picked up the win in relief to move to 1-0, as the Cowboys outscored the Panthers 44-5 in the series.
As a team, the Pokes hit nine homers in the twinbill led by Luke Scott and Roy York who hit two each.
The Cowboys will be back in action this weekend in the annual Bedlam Baseball series against Oklahoma starting Friday at 7:05 p.m. at Drillers Stadium in Tulsa, Okla. The series will move to the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City Saturday afteroon at 3 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
