Cowboy Golfers Collect Postseason Honors

Highlighting OSUs list of honorees are associate head coach Mike McGraw and junior Hunter Mahan. McGraw was named the inaugural recipient of the Jan Strickland Assistant Coach of the Year award presented by TaylorMade-adidas Golf, while Mahan was tabbed as the Jack Nicklaus Award winner, honoring the college player of the year.
In his sixth year at Oklahoma State, McGraw served as the Cowboys acting head coach for five tournaments this spring, leading the squad to three victories. The GCAAs newest award, the honor is given to the NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA assistant coach that, among other things, has excelled in working with their student-athletes both on the course and in the classroom.
Mahan, a native of McKinney, Texas, became the third OSU player to receive the Jack Nicklaus Award, joining Alan Bratton (1994) and Charles Howell (2000). The 2003 Ben Hogan Award co-recipient posted three victories this season while establishing school records this season with 10 consecutive rounds and nine consecutive tournaments below par. Mahan was also named a first-team PING All-American for the second consecutive season.
Redshirt freshman Zack Robinson was named an honorable mention All-American as well. The Fort Worth, Texas native posted four top-20 finishes this season, including a third-place showing at the Puerto Rico Classic.
Cowboy head coach Mike Holder was named the Eaton Golf Pride Central Region Coach of the Year, while five Cowboys; true freshman Chris Clarke, Mahan, junior Pär Nilsson, sophomore Alex Norén and Robinson, were named to the PING All-Central Region Team.
