Women's Track Competes In Midwest Regional

Final day of the Midwest Track & Field Regional held in Lincoln, Neb., May 30-31, ended with the cowgirls finishing in 33rd place with three total team points.
Cowgirl thrower Delisa McClain threw an impressive 52.51 meters and gained Oklahoma States only team points while finishing sixth in the hammer throw. Teammate Halee Prickett finished 21st in shot put with a distance of 12.76 meters, respectively.
Jumper Paula Ogunbanjo competed in the long jump event and finished 22nd, respectively.
Cowgirl runner Valentina Medina qualified in preliminaries Friday, May 30, for the 1,500 meter run finals with a time of 4:30.14 but was not able to compete in the finals and as a result did not place.
The Womens 2003 Track & Field Championship will be held in Sacramento, Calif., June 11-14.
