Hunter Mahan Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month

Oklahoma State's Hunter Mahan has been named the Big 12 Mens Golfer of the Month for April it was announced by the conference office Thursday, marking the second consecutive month he has received the distinction.
The Cowboy junior won his second tournament of the spring and was the only player under par at the Big 12 Championship, finishing 13 shots clear of the field. The two-time Big 12 Player of the Year also regained the top spot in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index with the win at the Big 12 Championship.
Mahans two-under-par outing set a school record with seven consecutive tournaments under par. On April 25, the McKinney, Texas, native was named one of five finalists for the Ben Hogan Award presented annually to the top men's golfer for all NCAA Divisions and NAIA.
Mahan also competed at The Masters from April 10-13 where he tied for 28th place at six-over-par.
