John Urick Named Big 12 Co-Player Of The Week

OSU's Urick helped the Cowboys win 2-of-3 in a series against No. 20 nationally Missouri with a major power surge. He his a team-high five home runs during five contests last week with 11 RBI. The Cowboys' 1B had a pair of two-homer games against Western Carolina and MU, scored seven runs, was 9-for-18 (.500) at the dish and raised his team-leading totals to 12 homers and 48 RBI to accompany a .370 batting average.
Cornejo batted a sizzling .769 by going 10-for-13 with six runs, one double, three RBI, an .846 slugging percentage, four walks, and one of the Big 12's top weekly on-base percentages at .824 as the Sooners swept Texas Tech and lost to No. 4 Arizona State. He paced the Sooners to their first Big 12 sweep of the season and raised his average 31 points while batting .800 (8-for-10) with five runs tallied and two RBI against Texas Tech.
The Cowboys will be back in action this weekend against Nebraska in Lincoln starting on Saturday at 6:35 p.m.
