Women's Track Heads for Texas Relays

The Oklahoma State women's track and field team will venture to Austin, Texas, for the annual Texas Relays, Thursday through Saturday.

Nancy Guillen will start things off for the Cowgirls, with competition Thursday in the hammer. Guillen's throw last week of 58.84 meters ranks her sixth in the country going into this weekend's competition.

The Cowgirls will run three relay teams this weekend. The 4x100m relay team will try to improve on its time of 46.46 seconds while the 4x200m and the 4x400m relay teams will run for the first time during the outdoor season.

Two-time All-American Sherita Jackson will run in the 100m dash at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, and freshman hurdlers Tiffany Davis and Stephani Duff will compete in the 100m hurdles Friday at 9:30 a.m.

This year will be a first for the Texas Relays as they move from Memorial Stadium into the new state-of-the-art Mike A. Myers Stadium.
