Two Track and Field Members to Travel to Atlanta

Senior Cowgirl middle distance runner Andrene Thompson and freshman pole vaulter Megan Robbins will travel to Atlanta, Ga. to take part in the Georgia Tech-Reebok Invitational on the George C. Griffin Track on Sat. May 23.

The two will be aiming to meet national qualifying standards at the Last Chance meet.

Robbins who is the OSU pole vault school record holder, provisionally qualified for the meet in June with her school record setting 11-1.75 vault at the Big 12 Championships last weekend.

Thompson the indoor 800m school record holder, will be aiming to qualify for the national meet in the 800m run. She nearly qualified provisionally with her 2:07.53 performance at the Mt. SAC meet in Walnut, Calif. on April 17.

The women's pole vault will begin at 12 noon and the women's 800m run will start at 4:10 p.m. on Saturday.
