OSU Tracksters Advance in NCAA Championship

Pacing Oklahoma State's first-day effort was Tracyan Baker who finished second in her heat in the women's 200 trials. She covered the distance Wednesday in 23.43 seconds and was second in her heat to Nanceen Perry of Texas who ran a 23.01.
Also qualifying for the second day of competition in the 200 was OSU's Sherita Jackson who ran a 23.59, good enough for sixth in her heat.
OSU's Jenny Framme ran well in the 3,000 semifinals on Wednesday, logging a time of 9:18.87, good enough for fourth place in the first of two heats. She finished less than five second behind Kristine Jost of Villanova who won the heat with a time of 9:13.83.
On the men's side, Christopher Kebenei finished seventh in the 10,000 finals with a time of 29:35.60. Mebrahtom Keflezighi of UCLA won the event with a time of 28:51.18.
In the 3,000 Steeplechase semifinals, Charles Sloan of Oklahoma State finished tenth in the first heat with a time of 9:02.13.
The NCAA Track and Field Championships are being held on the campus of Indiana University and continue through Saturday.
