Cowboy Track Runs at Big 12 Championships

Oklahoma State’s men’s track team ran to a 12th place finish at the conference meet in Austin, Tex. over the weekend.

Jason Woolhouse began the scoring for the Cowboys on Friday evening with his seventh place finish in the 10,000-meter run. Woolhouse finished the race in 31:45.96.

Freshman Daniel McLemore was the lone other Cowboy to record team points, placing sixth in both the 100m and 200m, running final round times of 10.63 and 21.23, respectively.

Other notable finishes for the Pokes included ninth-place finishes by Justin Nobles in the 800m and Matt Thomson in the 1,500-meter, and a 10th-place finish by Greg Rouault in the 5,000-meter run.

Host school Texas won the championship for the third time in school history, and the first time since 1999.
