Women's Track Continues Competition At Big 12 Championships

The Cowgirls started the day off in a seventh place tie with Texas Tech which later on turned into a three way tie with Texas A&M. Six events later the three way tie was broken with the Cowgirls moving into the 11th place position as Texas A&M moved into seventh-place and as Texas Tech moved into 10th by only a point and a half. After continuing to compete among tough competition the day ended with the Cowgirls in 12th-place.
Cowgirls who competed in running events included Valentina Medina who qualified to run in the 1,500 meter finals tomorrow with a seventh place finish and a time of 4:29.97, Alexandra Lindquist who also ran in the 1,500 meter and finished 10th, respectively and Alison Erzinger who ran the 400 meter dash with a time of 55.49 and a 10th place finish, respectively.
Cowgirls competing in field events included Paula Ogunbanjo who finished 20th in the long jump, Halee Prickett who finished ninth in shot put and Jodi Snawder and Laurel Catlett-King who finished 15th and 16th in the javelin throw, respectively.
