Cowgirls Compete At The Days Inn Invitational
May 16, 2003 | Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
The Oklahoma State women's indoor track team will travel to Arizona this weekend to compete in the Days Inn Invitational.
"I have no expectations for this meet," said Coach Catrina Acosta. "We are just going out there to get some exposure for our young team."
Cowgirl Melinda Jackson has been performing well so far this season in the long jump. Last weekend, at the Silver State Invitational, Jackson placed second in the long jump event, posting a 5.79m jump.
"Melinda is really doing great. I hope she continues competing like this, and hopefully she will be a contender for the Big 12 Long Jump Champion title. This weekend will just give her some more experience," said Acosta.
The Cowgirls are scheduled to compete Saturday afternoon, Feb. 5.
