Eight Cowboys Make All-Big 12 Team

Shortstop Billy Gasparino, third baseman Josh Holliday, right fielder Lamont Matthews and starting pitcher Matt Smith were each selected to the first team, the most by any of the conference schools.
Second baseman Kevin Lucas was a second team choice while first baseman Jay McCullough along with pitchers Thom Dreier, Jeremy Krismer and Rusty Rushing were honorable mention selections.
This was Holliday's and Gasparino's third straight year to receive all-conference plaudits while Lucas, Smith and Dreier were honored for the second straight year.
