Super Sports Launcher To Debut At Football Game
April 08, 2003 | Cowboy Football
Don't be surprised when T-shirts and hot dogs also rain down on lucky spectators, as Oklahoma State unveils its brand-new Super Sports Launcher.
Provided by Philadelphia-based Action Sports America (ASA), the Launcher is a portable unit operated by a single person. A small CO2 canister in a backpack propels an assortment of items up to 350 feet away. The launcher's side is emblazoned with the logo of Rodeo Hot Dogs, a university sponsor.
"We're extremely excited about having the Super Sports Launcher," remarked Sean Heusel, Oklahoma State's assistant director of marketing and promotions. "It's a dynamic way we can provide a fun and memorableexperience for our fans and supporters."
When football season ends, the launcher will move to Gallagher-Iba Arena for the Cowboys' men's basketball, women's basketball and wrestling events.
