Safety Measures in Place for Saturday's Game
April 08, 2003 | Cowboy Football
Fans coming to the 7:05 game should be aware that in light of the recent tragedies, additional security will be in place for the game everywhere in and around the stadium.
OSU Police and Environmental Health Services will be working in conjunction with other local law authorities to implement additional safety and security measures.
To help make the evening as enjoyable as possible, fans coming to the game should be aware of the following security measures:
Ice chests, book bags, umbrellas and other large items will not be allowed in the stadium. All persons and items entering the stadium are subject to search.
Because of increased emphasis on security, fans should arrive early to avoid any possible delay entering the stadium.
Parking lots, specifically ones in close proximity to Lewis Field, will be subject to increased scrutiny. Lot attendants may ask for photo ID along with parking permits.
The Athletics Center, including Gallagher-Iba Arena, will be open for only those with proper credentials.
All additional security measures in place for Saturday's game should be expected for the rest of the 2001 season and are in place to help insure the safety of fans attending the game and to help make the experience as safe and convenient as possible.
