Q&A With Kevin Williams
April 08, 2003 | Cowboy Football
I would say to hear the fans cheering and the band playing, and when you come out of the tunnel you see the smoke going up through the air. You can see everyone out there.
What are your career ambitions besides football?
I hope to have a strong degree and if I cannot play football at another level I hope to get a good job somewhere.
What are your expectations for this year?
We are going to try and take it one game at a time and build from there. If we win one game at a time than we will be where we need to be at the end of the year.
How do you fit into the new defensive formation?
It is a very up tempo defense. It is more attack than technique. Technique still plays a factor, but we are going to try and use speed and make plays up front.
How has the new coaching staff helped you become a better player?
I would say the workouts. These are some of the longest workouts that I have ever been to. Two-a-days were pretty rough, but I think it will make us all a better player.
What is different this year than last year?
I think the atmosphere is different. Last year we started out all right, but I think right now everybody is on a high level and wants practice to be over. We are just anxious to see what is going to happen this season.
Who has been your biggest influence in football?
I would say my family. My dad and my brothers influenced me a lot. It has started with my mom and it has just passed over from all of them.
