Oklahoma State Plans to Toy Around at Baylor Game
April 08, 2003 | Cowboy Football
The OSU Student Government Association, sponsor of the event, is encouraging students, alumni, and members of the community to bring new or used toys to the game. The toys can include anything from a coloring book to a stuffed animal and will be given to various Payne County organizations to use as Christmas presents for children.
We want to people to help brighten a childs Christmas by bringing a toy to the game and watching the Cowboys destroy the Baylor Bearsbecause not all bears can be Teddy Bears, said Kendra Gripe, executive director.
Drop-off sites will be set up on all sides of the stadium beginning at noon. Everyone who brings a toy to the game will receive a sticker that allows them admission to the Toys Tailgate located at the west tennis courts on the south side of Lewis Stadium. Free hot dogs and soft drinks will be served.
There will also be a drop-off set up at Wal-Mart in Stillwater starting Monday, November 16, for those wanting to participate but not attending the game. For more information call the Student Government Association office at (405) 744-6500.
