Football Media Luncheon Quotes

On Winning "We needed to come and play and win. That was the first criteria. We played better on offense. We put together a solid effort on offense, defense and special teams. Was it exactly the way I had drawn it up? No. But it was a step in the right direction."
On Conference Opener "From this point forward we want to win every game. Whether or not we can will depend on how we do along the way. Right now we need to do the same thing we did last week. We need to improve and play our three phases and win. If we can do that then we will look at the rest of the schedule on forward. But we need to take one game at a time."
On Missouri "I think Missouri is a very confident football team. I think Nebraska had a difficult time with them. It appears to me that they have a difficult defense."
On Similarites "They are coming into our place and we look forward to playing on Lewis Field. I am sure they don't look forward to playing at Lewis Field. This is their first road trip. I think Coach Pinkel is doing a good job. I see their players flying around to the ball so I know they are going to be well coached. I think we have a very good defense. We think our defense is playing very strong and has all year. Our offense needs to continue to improve and if we do that then things will work out the way we want them to."
On Offense "I thought our quarterback played well. Our receivers caught the ball well and with that in mind it allowed us to rush the ball pretty effectively at times. That is what we are going to have to do. If they are taking away Rashaun Woods then we are going to have to run it. That is the nature of college football."
On History of Series "Our goal is not to stay home at Christmas. Our goal is to win and I know our team understands that this is a must win, if we are going to do the things that we have set as goals for us as a team. We can still be a good team and still accomplish the things we want to accomplish without the win but it makes it a lot harder."
Terrence Robinson
On the Mood "The mood is totally different. We got a win and that is one thing we have looked for all year. It gives us a lot of confidence heading into next week. We feel that we can play with any team in the nation. The mood is nothing but miraculous. We have all stayed with each other through the season even during the two losses. Even though we have taken the two losses, I think it has brought the team closer together."
On the Win "There have been mistakes on both sides of the ball that we have to eliminate. The offense put points on the board and it was wonderful. That was last week and now we are looking forward to this week."
On the Shutout "It is a great feeling coming in after a ball game and accomplishing every goal that we set before hand. Holding a team to zero points is a great feeling because you have accomplished that goal. Our team went out on Saturday and played hard and got the win."
LaWaylon Brown
On the Defense Play "I feel that we are playing alright. If their offense can't score then they can't win. If we held the other three teams that we've played to no points then I would say we were playing great. I think Missouri averages around 14 points a game, and if we can get that down to seven then I think we would be playing good."
Mark Milosevich
On his touchdown "We hadn't run that play all night. I knew we had set it up with all the running plays we were doing. I knew if the defense put pressure on the quarterback then I would have a shot to score. I ran out in the flat and I saw Aso (Pogi) looking at me and he dumped the ball off to me. I turned around and saw a little corner of the end zone and I knew I had to get there."
On the play of the Offense "I think we could have put 40 on the board. After the first quarter the score was tied at zero. We had a lot of dumb penalties holding us back. Those are the kinds of things we need to cut out. We have to keep getting the third-and-ones or the third-and-twos. If we can keep moving the ball and not getting those 15 yard penalties that keep moving us back, then we will be doing good." - OSU -
