Cowboys Make The Grade

Three of Oklahoma State's seven first-team selections are on the academic list for a fourth straight year. Nathan Simmons, Andrew Golembiewski and Lindsey Sherrer are all four-time Academic All Big 12 honorees.
Simmons, the son of OSU Head Coach Bob Simmons, was one of four Big 12 student- athletes who earned academic all-league honors while in graduate school.
Sherrer and Cowboy teammate Kyle Eaton were two of just five league players who were nominated to the first team having earned a 4.0 grade point average either cumulative or the two previous semesters.
In addition to Simmons, Sherrer and Eaton, other OSU first team selections were Blaine Cook, Russ Schwettmann and Patrick Hullum. OSU student-athletes named to the second team were Paul Evans, Thomas Glapion, Damon Peavy, Anthony Tillman and Dustin Vanderhoof.
A total of 106 student-athletes were named to the team, including 68 repeat performers. The student-athletes were nominated by each institutions director of student-athlete support services.
