Cowboys Defeat Hillsdale College, 16-4

Rightfielder Mike Lorsbach led the Cowboys (38-14) offensively, going 3 for 5 with a double, a triple, and an RBI. Jay McCullough was 2 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Also hitting doubles for the Cowboys were Carl-s Gautreaux, Lance Smith. Lamont Matthews, and Chris Haggard. Matthews also added a solo home run for Oklahoma State, his 22nd of the season.
Oklahoma State trailed 4-1 before scoring four runs in the bottom of the third inning to take the lead 5-4. The Cowboys then scored in every other inning. Hillsdale College scored all four of its runs in the second inning.
The Cowboy pitching staff limited Hillsdale to only four runs while striking out six batters and walking none. Grant Bergman got the win for the Cowboys to improve his record to 1-0. Stu Hunt pitched two innings of no-hit baseball in relief, striking out four of the seven batters he faced.
Oklahoma State will return to action Friday as they face Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas at 7:00 p.m.
