Orange Wins 23-6 in Spring Football Finale

Condley, a walkon kicker from Muskogee, nailed field goals from 27, 24 and 41 yards and Chaloupka passed for 125 yards to pace the victorious Orange squad.
Chaloupka, a sophomore-to-be from Angleton, Texas, completed six of eight passes for 125 yards. His touchdown pass was a six yarder to Kevin Brown but, it came when he was playing for the white squad.
The Orange squad clearly dominated the the final scrimmage, including on the ground where it rushed for 145 yards on 39 carries. The White squad could muster only 51 rushing yards on 32 total carries.
Brown led all rushers with 70 yards on 17 carries. Number one tailback Andre Richardson, playing for the White squad, carried the ball 10 times for just 15 yards. The leading receiver in the game was All-American tight end Alonzo Mayes who caught five passes for 82 yards.
The Orange-White game marked the conclusion of spring football drills at Oklahoma State, which opens the 1997 season on Saturday, August 30 at Iowa State.
