Four Cowboys Go Yard in Win over Kansas State

OSU swept the three game series and improved to 23-8 on the season and 7-5 in Big 12 play. The Wildcats fell to 13-18 overall and 5-10 in conference play.
Billy Gasparino, Josh Holliday, Chris Becerra and Carlos Gautreaux each hit homers on the day giving the Pokes 13 homers in the three-game set.
Cowboy starter Denny New (2-1) picked up the win in his longest stint of the season. The junior hurled for six innings and gave up one run on five hits with four strikeouts. Kansas State starter Brett Reid took the loss and evened his record at 2-2 on the year.
OSU will be in action Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. when the Cowboys take on Oral Roberts at Drillers Stadium in the second game of the two-game series.
