Cowgirl Harriers Place Ninth At Regional Meet

NORMAL, Ill. - Oklahoma State's women's cross country team placed ninth in the District V Championship cross country regional meet Sat., Nov. 16, in Normal, Ill. The meet, which was hosted by Illinois State University, was held on the ISU golf course. Among the 23 teams that competed, were five other Big 12 teams who ran the 6K course.
The University of Missouri placed first with an average time of 21:07.14, while Northwestern University finished second with a time of 21:34.33. Rounding out the top three with a time of 21:37.33 was Southwest Missouri State.
Juniors Marie Nilsson and junior Ami Butler each placed in the top 10 in 4th and 9th, respectively.
Seniors Alexander Lindquist and Michelle Simecka and juniors Sharalee Sparks and Joanna Fedick placed 54th, 157th, 84th and 141st, respectively.
