Cowboy Football Welcomes 23 Newcomers to Stillwater

Included in the 23 who reported to campus on Monday were 18 scholarship freshmen and five walkons. Jarmaine Jones, a freshman from Dallas' Carter High School, will not arrive at OSU until his eligibility status is cleared.
"This is certainly a good looking group," Simmons said as he gears up for his third campaign as Oklahoma State's head coach. "We're excited to get them here and excited about getting on the practice field. We've got a lot of work to get done with this group and with the entire squad when they report later in the week."
OSU's newcomers will go through physical examinations and be issued equipment Tuesday morning before going through their first practice Tuesday afternoon at 3:15 p.m.
The first day of two-a-day practices will be Wednesday with workouts scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. The newcomers will join the returning varsity for a pair of workouts on Friday.
The schedule for the rest of the week follows: Tuesday, August 5 Practice (non pads) 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 6 Practice (non pads) 9:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, August 7 Varsity reports (no practice) Friday, August 8 Practice (non pads) 9:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, August 9 Practice (non pads) 9:15 a.m. and 4 p.m.
