Baseball Holds Off Late Rally by Texas Tech

Texas Tech (22-11, 6-5 Big 12) scored in the first inning off a hit and two errors by the Cowboys defense. This was 2-of-4 errors committed in the first two innings by the Pokes.
The Cowboys exploded in the bottom half of the first inning scoring four runs, two runs coming from a Josh Holliday two-run home run. Also in the inning, Tony Roossien collected his fifth double of the season scoring one and freshman Brand Smith singled into left field that scored a run.
The Red Raiders came back with a run in the second cutting the lead to two runs. But Kevin Lucas hit his third home run of the season, to take a three run lead.
Oklahoma State then pulled away in the third scoring three runs on five Cowboy hits.
Oklahoma State will travel to Driller Stadium in Tulsa, Okla. for a non-conference match up against t Arkansas Wednesday, April 1, at 7 p.m..
