Oregon State scored the only run of the game off a RBI single by shortstop Troy Schader in the top of the first inning.
The only Cowboy hit came in the fifth inning when leftfielder Chris Becerra hit a triple to rightfield that hit the fence and barely missed going out of the park.

Oregon State starter B.R. Cook (2-1) pitched the complete-game one hitter and only faced two batters over the minimum.
The game was the first time Oklahoma State was shutout since an 8-0 loss to Texas A&M on March 13, 1998.
