Oklahoma State Baseball Wins First Game of Showdown

Texas Christian took an early lead in the third inning by scoring three runs. But the Cowboys rallied in the sixth inning by scoring four runs, with hits coming from Tony Roossien, Lance Smith and Kent Schaub.
The Cowboys scored two runs in the seventh with the help from an RBI double by Billy Gasparino and a sacrifice fly by Roossien.
Tony Lucca led all batters by going 3-for-4 with two runs, and one RBI.
Junior pitcher Jon Adkins picked up the win by pitching six innings and striking out five. Danny Prata picked up the save by pitching three innings with four strikeouts.
The Cowboys continue play in the Just for Feet Showdown, Saturday, Feb. 7 at 12 p.m. against Kentucky.
