Oklahoma State Baseball Voted Eighth by Sporting News

Oklahoma State's baseball team has been voted to an eighth-place ranking by The Sporting News.

The Cowboys are coming off a 46-19 season, in which they placed second in the Midwest Regional held in Stillwater.

This is the second time that the Cowboys have been ranked in the preseason top ten and the third time that they have been voted into the preseason top 25 this season. The Cowboys were voted seventh by Collegiate Baseball and were voted 16th by Baseball America.

Two other schools from the Big 12 Conference are listed: 10. Texas Tech and 13. Oklahoma.

Oklahoma State will begin the 1998 season at the Collegiate Sports Classic in Peoria, Ariz. where they begin the season against Texas Christian.
