Baseball Blasts Chicago State 25-4

Rightfielder Lamont Matthews keyed the Cowboys offensive attack with a two-for-three performance at the plate with five RBIs and three runs scored.
Freshman third baseman Ryan Budde also aided in the scoring barrage by going three-for-six with three RBIs.
Starter Dale Pearson (1-1) picked up the win for the Cowboys as he pitched three innings and gave up two runs on five hits while striking out five.
Hitting homers for the Pokes was freshman Toby Rhodes, a two-run shot in the seventh, and senior Jay McCullough who hit a grandslam in the eighth.
With the win, the Cowboys moved to 4-0 at home and have averaged 21 runs a contest at Reynolds Stadium.
Oklahoma State will play Chicago State again tommorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. before opening Big 12 play this weekend against Texas A&M in College Station.
