2001-2002: Played two seasons at Rockland College in Suffern, N.Y. ... named to the mid-Hudson team after going 9-1 with a 2.50 ERA in 2002 ... went 6-3 with a 3.00 in 2001 ... drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 39th round in 2001 ... played three games in the Cape Cod League over the summer with the Orleans Cardinals ... struck out five batters in 4.2 innings of work ... also considered Louisville, North Carolina State and Clemson
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a two-year letterwinner as a pitcher at North Rocklan High ... was named the Pitcher of the Year after going 9-1 with a 0.88 ERA as a senior ... drafted in the 40th round by the Seattle Mariners in 2000.
