2001-2002: Played two seasons at Cypress College in Cypress, Calif. ... hit 16 homers with 54 RBIs and a .331 average in 2000 ... played with former Cowboy Daylon Monette as a freshman ... drafted in 27th round of the 2000 draft by the New York Yankees ... was a first team all-conference choice in both seasons ... hit 16 homers with 49 RBIs and a .358 average ... also was recruited by Texas A&M, South Carolina and Hawaii.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year letterwinner as an outfielder at Villa Park High ... was a first-team all league choice in three of four seasons ... also first team all-county in two seasons and a second team All-CIF one season.
