2000-2001 (Sophomore): One of four Cowboys named to the Academic All-Big 12s first team ... earned his second career top-10 finish at the Big 12 Championship, finishing in a tie for 10th after shooting scores of 77, 79 and 72 ... opened play at the Rolex/Golf World/Palmetto Dunes with a 67 before finishing with a three-round total of 220 ... low 54-hole total came at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational where he shot an even-par total of 216 ... closed out the season with a pair of 76s at the NCAA Championship ... finished the year with three sub-70 rounds.
1999-2000 (Freshman): Played in every event as a true freshman ... finished tied for fifth in the Taylor Made Red River Classic, helping OSU to its first team title of the season ... played a vital role in OSUs successful quest for its ninth national title ... carded a 2-under-par 70 to save OSU six strokes and help move the Cowboys into the lead after two rounds of the NCAA Championship ... with OSU in a playoff to decide the national champion, stuck his approach five feet from the pin, made birdie and effectively sealed the victory ... the sixth true freshman in OSU history to play in a victorious NCAA Tournament, joining Britt Harrison (1976), Bob Tway (1978), Willie Wood (1980), Scott Verplank (1983) and Brian Montgomery (1987).
Amateur: Finished tied for 71st place at nine-over at the 2002 Southern Amateur with scores of 78 and 71 ... lost in the first round of play at the 2002 Oklahoma Golf Association Match Play Championship, suffering a 2 and 1 setback ... advanced to the third round of the the 2001 Oklahoma Match Play Amateur Championship ... posted a 5 and 3 win in the first round followed by a 3 and 2 triumph in the second round before falling 4 and 3 ... finished in a tie for 13th place at the 2001 Oklahoma Open with a 209 total after carding rounds of 71, 66 and 72 ... finished as the events top amateur by four shots ... competed in the 2001 Northern Amateur ... ranked second in the national junior rankings before beginning his college career ...
