Cowgirl Harrier Competes In NCAA Cross Country Championship

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Oklahoma State Cowgirl junior Marie Nilsson competed in the NCAA Division I National Cross Country Championship today at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind.
Nilsson finished with a time of 20:59.8 and a 66th-place finish in the 254-runner field. Shalane Flanagan, a junior from North Carolina, finished with a time of 19:36.0 to claim first-place honors, while Kate O'Neill, a senior from Yale, finished in second-place with a time of 19:48.0.
First-place team honors went to Brigham Young with a score of 85. Stanford came in second place with a score of 113, while Notre Dame came in third place with a score of 170.
Nilsson, along with the rest of the Cowgirl track team, will now prepare for the upcoming indoor track season.
