2002: Newkirk played in all 12 games and has recorded one tackle. He is the deep snapper for the Cowboys. He suffered a leg injury in the second half of the Oklahoma game and was unable to return.
2001: Deep snapper for Oklahoma State.
2000: His redshirt season at OSU.
Junior College: Newkirk earned All-Jayhawk Conference honors at Fort Scott Community College. According to his junior college coach, he was equally talented at run and pass blocking. Newkirk helped lead Fort Scott to its first bowl game in 13 years. PrepStar Magazine included Newkirk on its Super Juco-75 list, and he was one of the top 13 junior college offensive linemen in the country by the same publication.
Personal: Born June 8, 1980, in Independence, Kan. Son of Ronald and Kathyrn Newkirk. Has a younger sister, Jalaynna. Weightlifting, fishing, hunting and music are his hobbies.
