2001: Came into his own in 2001, playing in nine of Oklahoma States 11 games and logging nine starting assignments. He was in the starting lineup in the opener at Southern Miss. Has 11 career starts, with two coming in 2000.
2000: Played extensively and gained starting nods against Colorado and Baylor.
1999: Saw action in eight games on defense and finished with four tackles. He also had one sack and one additional tackle behind the line and was credited with one quarterback hurry.
1998: His redshirt season at Oklahoma State.
High School: All-State by the Daily Oklahoman and Tulsa World. Also selected to the McDonalds Coaches All-State Game. First-team All-Big City and Metro Conference first-teamer, also District 6A-1 first-team selection. Graded out at 86 percent on offense and had 73 total tackles on defense. Also recruited by Oklahoma.
Personal: Son of Judith and James Russell. Has one sister, Tiffani, who currently attends OSU. Born Sept. 16, 1978, in Oklahoma City. Is an education major, with intentions of coaching in the future.
