High School: Derek graduated from Comanche High School where he lettered all four years in wrestling. He also lettered in baseball and football for four years as well.
Personal: Derek was born in Duncan, Okla., and is the son of Mark and Michelle Myers. He has one sister, Lindy. Derek is contemplating a major in secondary education and plans to be a coach. He enjoys hunting, fishing and snow skiing in his spare time. Derek was born on Sept. 12, 1981.
